Ngezana, who celebrated his 19th birthday late last year, believes he learned a lot at the tournament, even though he didn't play all the games, and explained that the team achieved their primary aim. "Our prime goal was to qualify for the World Cup. A second goal we had set for ourselves was to make history and win the Africa Cup of Nations, but that wasn't to be," the teenager told Chiefs' official website. Meanwhile, when asked about his time on the bench, he said: "You actually learn a lot by just sitting on the bench and watching. It was amazing to see the desire, the hunger and the winning mentality of all the players. Also, the immense intensity of the matches, there were no easy opponents. Every game was like a final." Ngezana, a regular for the Glamour Boys' MultiChoice Diski Challenge side, will now be hoping to try to make the step up to senior level in the coming months as he targets the next step in his career.
