Insiders close to the club indicated that Chiefs are believed to have committed this new budget for the winter transfer window, with the possibility of revisiting it during January, depending on further needs for 2026.

"It's believed that the club has already come up with the budget for next season and it's believed to be R80 million. You know last season they started with R50 million which they raised to R60 million in the January transfer window and that means they are raising it up by R20 million. It's because they are looking at signing quality with most of the players that they are targeting. So their intentions are really looking good with the new budget," the insider told the Siya crew.

A second insider detailed that Chiefs are planning to sign four to five players with the allocated budget to strengthen key areas of the squad.

"They have identified the areas of the players they need to sign and they are believed to be looking at signing at least four to five players. They are looking at a goalkeeper, left back, winger, central midfielder and a striker plus another one in a position or area the technical team will decide. So it's a good budget if you look it from that perspective," the second insider stated.

Among the players linked to Amakhosi so far are goalkeeper Xolani Ngcobo, left-back Fawaaz Basadien, right-back Lungelo Bhengu, midfielders Neo Maema and Feisal Salum, and striker Fiston Mayele, among others.
