Nabi: I Have Played 5 Finals In 5 Years

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi is ready to lead his team into the Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates at Moses Mabhida Stadium this Saturday.

With extensive experience in Cup finals, Nabi is confident in his ability to handle the pressure and guide Amakhosi to victory.

Speaking at a Nedbank Cup press conference at Naturena, the Tunisian-born coach reflected on his track record in finals, having been in five such showdowns across three different countries.

"I played in the final last season with AS FAR (against Raja Casablanca). It was 1-1 and just one mistake and we lost the game. In the last five seasons I have been in five finals. Three in Tanzania, one in Morocco and now one in South Africa. I think I have experience in finals. In finals you need self-control. You don't receive pressure in the finals and I know my approach with the players. Honestly I have the momentum and I know how to approach the finals," Nabi told the media.

Beyond his tactical approach, Nabi emphasized his desire to win for the club’s supporters, acknowledging the emotional connection between the fans and the team.

"I respect the fans. It's normal to be disappointed when your team is losing. Also me, I am not happy. I am the first person affected by the results. I would like to win this Nedbank Cup for the fans. I would thank the fans and thank them for the support of the team," Nabi concluded.

Kaizer Chiefs will face their arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the much-anticipated historic showdown at Moses Mabhida Stadium this Saturday, as they look to end a difficult season on a high note.
