Known for his immense talent as a footballer, while recently has made a name for himself as a football analyst, former South African youth international Junior Khanye is set for another exciting role in Mzansi's entertainment industry.

The former Kaizer Chiefs star, who has reiterated that he has not yet retired from professional football, is set to star in a new football drama series on Mzansi Magic.
The Daveyton-born star will play the role of a talented footballer named Gift in the series called Vula Vala, which features the who's who of the South African film industry including Sello Maake ka-Ncube, Darlington Michaels and Tina Jaxa.

In the drama series which is set at KwaThema in Ekurhuleni in Gauteng, Khanye will be seen as a crowd-favourite, similar to his time with Amakhosi in his heyday, and will be playing for a family-owned club whose boss Bra Rex (Maake ka-Ncube), was himself a footballer.
