Veteran striker Benjani Mwaruwari is yet to score a goal for Wits this season. The experienced Zimbabwean's arrival at the club was greeted with some optimism as the player boasted a wealth of experience in the English Premiership.
Most notably perhaps, Mwaruwari had a fairly success stint with Manchester City from 2008 until 2010. He returned to the PSL last season with Chippa United but was only able to score once for the Chilli Boys in nine PSL appearances.
In addition, he is goalless after over 10 appearances for Wits this season and despite his struggles in front of goal, Wits' coach Gavin Hunt has continued to show faith in Mwaruwari.
The 35-year-old also started for Wits against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday night but wasn't able to really threaten Itumeleng Khune's goal. He was later substituted in the second half and his replacement, Ryan Chapman, was able to grab Wits' initial equalizer.

Our exclusive Soccer-Laduma stats show that Mwaruwari played with his back to goal for most of the contest as he managed just one strike on goal in the 54 minutes he played. Despite playing just under 40 minutes, Chapman managed two strikes on goal and had 100% shooting accuracy.
In Benjani's defence his hold up play was very good as his passing success rate was 86.96%, meaning the powerful forward was bringing others into the game very efficiently.
Nonetheless, with just one goal to his name in close to 20 appearances since he returned to the country in 2012/13, it begs the question - Is Hunt's faith in Benjani justified? With the likes of Robin Ngalande, Calvin Kadi, Getaneh Kebede, Erwin Isaacs and Chapman all available to play upfront, it poses something of a dilemma for Hunt who he will opt for in future.
