BREAKING: Important Decision Made On PSL Leadership

A decision has been made on the PSL chairmanship and league's leadership following a Quadrennial General Meeting held in Johannesburg today. 

As expected, Dr Irvin Khoza will remain in charge as the chairman of the PSL on another four-year term, having come to today's the National Soccer League's QGM as the sole nominee for the role.

Khoza's election has been welcomed by the NSL Executive Committee, clubs and the football fraternity at large, and as a result of his massive contribution to the league and local football over the years. Then there is the respect Khoza commands for his unique and admired leadership style. 

Meanwhile, there have been some changes in the Exco, with Black Leopards boss David Thidiela, John Comitis and Rob Benadie some of the notable exclusions from the previous regime, while three new club bosses have been added to be part of the seven members who will be involved in making big decisions on the country's important football matters for the next four years along with the chairman.

As confirmed by the PSL following an intense voting process, the new PSL leadership is as follows: Irvin Khoza (Chairperson), with Kaizer Motaung, Mato Madlala, Dr Rejoice Simelane, Stanley Matthews, Johhny Mogaladi, Tim Sukazi and Sifiso Biyela completing the Big Eight as Executive Committee members.    

The PSL held its QGM at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg today and was attended by all club bosses, dignitaries and the media.
