2023/24 PSL Season Fixtures
Can you believe it, football is back! The footballing community may be occupied by the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup ongoing in New Zealand and Australia, but there is something different, enthralling and engaging about 'regular football' as it were. There are expectations from the fans, some of these based on how the previous season went. New signings, some unknown and others very well-know, hope to do well at the different clubs, with the end goal being the R15 million winners' prize at the end of the season. This week's copy of Soccer Laduma has the 2023/23 season's fixtures, where you can track your favourite team's games, dates, venues, times and broadcast details. Get your own copy!
Cole Alexander Interview
In football, no two seasons are ever alike, and Alexander will attest to that, having done decently during his first campaign at Kaizer Chiefs, only for his fortunes to take a turn for the worse in the second one. In the end, player and club decided on mutually terminating his contract and going their separate ways, and now it remains to be seen where the midfielder will be playing his football in 2023/24. In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma this week, Alexander makes some interesting revelations, including on his 'non-existent' relationship with Arthur Zwane, while dispelling the notion he was out injured for a large spell of the season.
Thabiso Monyane Interview
After their achievements of last season, where they bagged two trophies and qualified for the CAF Champions League, a lot will be expected of Orlando Pirates in the upcoming season, which begins in earnest on Friday. Monyane may not be a regular in the starting line-up, but he remains a key player for Jose Riveiro, especially as they'll be competing on many fronts. Bucs' development product has just come off a good pre-season out in Spain and is raring to go ahead of the season-opening fixture against Stellenbosch FC on Saturday, as he reveals in his interview with Soccer Laduma this week.

Maude Khumalo Interview
Banyana Banyana have qualified for the Women's World Cup knockout stages, though they've been on the receiving end of criticism for how the fixtures against Sweden and Argentina panned out. The reigning African champions scored first in those matches, before conceding late goals. But there is an air of jubilation in Mzansi streets ahead of Sunday's Last 16 game against Netherlands. In her interview with Soccer Laduma, the former Banyana star gives her opinion about what the team has been able to conjure up at the global showpiece, explaining what she thought Desiree Ellis' charges did better against Italy.
Kylian Mbappe Feature
While the PSG talisman's future is still up in the air, there appears to be little doubt that he'll one day don Real Madrid's jersey. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has publicly declared that the France international will be sold in this transfer window if he refuses commit to new terms in Paris, and it is widely expected that, whether now or next year, the Frenchman will make Madrid his base soon enough! This, however, begs the question: What would this mean for Vinicius Junior? The Brazilian is also said to be closing in on a new bumper contract. Soccer Laduma discusses the issue.
Revolving Column
This week, we hear from Cape Town Spurs head coach Shaun Bartlett as he outlines how he and his charges have prepared for the upcoming season, raves about some of their new signings and reveals what it's like coaching a team that he once turned out for, having led them to topflight promotion.
Siyagobhoza
In this week's edition of the popular Siyagobhoza section, there is news on Kaizer Chiefs' desperate pursuit of a striker, a marksman and his Orlando Pirates future, a dilemma facing Mamelodi Sundowns, and more…
