Francis Chansa feels that he has been overlooked by his former club Orlando Pirates, as well as Kaizer Chiefs, with the former goalkeeper threatening to leave South Africa as a result.

Chansa, who is originally from Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, played football in Mzansi for almost 15 years, from when he first started at Durban Bush Bucks in 1997 to when he retired after playing for Maritzburg United in 2011.
Over the years of his professional career, Chansa played for the likes of Golden Arrows, Pirates, Santos, Bidvest Wits, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Maritzburg.
After he retired as a professional footballer, Chansa returned to football in 2015 as a goalkeeper coach for South Africa women's national football team, after he acquired qualifications for the role.
However, after his contract for Banyana Banyana role expired, Chansa has been in the football wilderness.

The former shot-stopper is threatening to leave Mzansi to go back to his country, with a view of giving back to up and coming young players the experience he has gathered over the years.
"Unfortunately, I have never got a chance to come and motivate goalkeepers at Pirates or Chiefs despite the experience I have. I'm planning to leave the country and go back to my country," Chansa told the Siya crew.
"The system is like that, they don't recognise us who were never part of 1996 (presumably referring to Bafana Bafana's Africa Cup of Nations-winning team), even if you are a citizen they still think that you are a foreigner. I understand but I love football so much. South Africa changed my life through a career in football. Wherever I go now they know me because of football. But we don't get the kind of jobs to get us back to the clubs and to give back to the youngsters. Maybe I'm not good enough, I understand, it's okay," added the 44-year-old.
