After announcing the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Sibusiso Mabiliso, AmaZulu are looking to further strengthen the squad, having welcomed another ex-Amakhosi and Swallows FC player to their training.
Following his three-year spell with Swallows, having joined from Chiefs in 2019, Namibian international goalkeeper Virgil Vries parted ways with the club at the expiry of his contract at the end of last season and is currently in search of a new deal.
The player's representative Jazzman Mahlakgane has confirmed to the Siya crew that the 31-year-old is currently with Usuthu, although Siya sources have indicated that he is on assessment for now.
"He is there but just to clarify he hasn't signed yet," confirmed the intermediary.
AmaZulu currently have Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Veli Mothwa as their number one, with Gabonese international Jean-Noel Amonome deputising.
