A decision has been made on former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates utility player Asavela Mbekile at Stellenbosch FC after a difficult season for him and the club.
Mbekile has been with Stellenbosch since February last year, having joined the club as a free agent after parting ways with Pirates in January.

The 34-year-old made only 12 appearances – two starts and 10 substitute appearances – in Stellenbosch's difficult DStv Premiership campaign as the team fought against relegation to finish in 14th place on the log.
"The club would like to thank Asavela Mbekile for his years service and wish him all the best for his future. Go well shoozie!" the Mother City outfit confirmed in their official statement on Twitter.
