Former Leopards Man Eyes PSL Return

Former Leopards Man Eyes PSL Return

Former Black Leopards striker, Mulondo Sikhwivhilu, says he still feels he has something to offer in topflight football.

The 33-year-old marksman was last on the books of Polokwane City, and has also featured for Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United, Dynamos and Bay United. He has not played a match in competitive football for almost two years now, having taken a break from the game to focus on his studies.

He now holds a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences degree, but if the opportunity arises to join a team in the PSL, he will not hesitate to grab it. Sikhwivhilu, who made his debut in the professional ranks in 1998, says even though he does not feel under pressure, he is ready to have a last shot at the game.

"My man, I have not officially retired from the game. Even though I had to finish my degree, I'm still passionate about the game, and remember that I'm only 33. I'm still in top shape and do training on my own. At the age that I'm in, I could not ignore education and now at least I know I have something to fall back on once I officially retire," he said.
