After almost three years without playing competitive football, former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Michael Nkambule is eyeing a return to the game with a topflight club next season.
Following a spell in Thailand between 2015 and 2018, Nkambule struggled to get a club in Mzansi's topflight or in the second tier on his return home.
The 32-year-old player's last club in Mzansi was Roses United whom he joined in 2013 from Black Leopards.
In the last few weeks, Nkambule has been training with Fak'imali Uzobona FC, which is a Daveyton-based club owned by his homeboy and fellow ex-Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye.
"Michael Nkambule has been training with us at Fak'imali Uzobona FC and he has been doing well in friendly matches. He is fit and his passion for the game has been revived. He is one player that I would like to see getting an opportunity in the PSL in the new season, because that is what he is keen on, he wants to return to topflight football. He is working on getting a club," said Khanye, speaking to the Siya crew.
