In a career that also took him to Rostov in Russia in his prime, Japhet Zwane had been one of the top wingers of his time in Mansi, having starred for Moroka Swallows before earning an overseas move in 2003.

Golden Arrows and AmaZulu are the other two clubs that the 46-year-old played for before retiring in 2010.

In one of his memorable matches, Zwane produced a Man of the Match performance for Bafana in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in 2002 against a star-studded Ivory Coast side, which included the likes of Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure, in Abidjan.
