Seven years since he last played professionally, a former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates striker has resurfaced in local football.

Bongani Ndulula is one of a handful of players who have turned out for both Soweto giants. The striker nicknamed 'Drogba' was a teen sensation, his burly nature unnatural in the local game and set him apart from his peers.
Sadly for the Aliwal-North-born striker, he never really lived up to expectations and after turning out for a number of teams including AmaZulu and Chippa United, Ndulula disappeared into football obscurity.
The Siya crew has it on good authority that Ndulula, although missing from the professional game, remained active, though in a smaller format as he garnered a reputation in the 5-a-side scene.
Now 34, Ndulula has made a return to football by signing for SAB side TUT eMalahleni, for whom he will play on a voluntary basis.
The club announced his arrival on their official social media platforms.
"TUT eMalahleni is delighted about the signing of former Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs striker Bongani Ndulula as they continue to push their aspirations for promotion to the ABC Motsepe League next season. 'Drogba' has joined TUT eMalahleni on a voluntary basis," they wrote.
