Venue: Mbombela Stadium
SuperSport were bolstered by the return of Gamphani Lungu alongside Aubrey Ngoma, Jamie Webber and Luke Fleurs while the Rockets were unchanged from their win over Mamelodi Sundowns, as Sibusiso Vilakazi led the line in a false number nine role.
The Rockets had a bright start as Vilakazi came close to giving them an early lead with a volly on the edge of the box that was acrobatically parried underneath the crossbar by goalkeeper Boalefa Pule, who produced a double save.
The game opened up as Matsatsantsa also threatened and Kegan Johannes was unfortunate not to break the deadlock for Gavin Hunt's charges eight minutes before the half-time break with a powerful header that was punched off the line by shot-stopper Melusi Buthelezi.
Sead Ramovic's troops eventually broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time after Given Msimango powered home a free header at the back post from a corner by Aphelele Teto.

The visitors fashioned better chances early in the second stanza, as Matsatsantsa struggled to combine going forward and Hunt reinforced the attack around the hour-mark, as Selaelo Rasebotja replaced Ngoma and Thabang Sibanyoni came on for Grant Margeman.
However, Ebrahim Seedat doubled Galaxy's lead just after that with a first-time finish from close range at the back post after a defence-splitting square pass by Teto.
Hunt's men threatened with early crosses inside the box and Bradley Grobler had a chance to pull a goal back on 73 minutes after a delivery by Johannes but his powered header was smothered by Buthelezi and Grobler was immediately replaced by Thamsanqa Gabuza for fresh legs in the closing stages.
Thapelo Maseko had an opportunity to reduce the deficit for SuperSport ten minutes before time after he latched onto a cross by Iqraam Rayners at the near post but his low strike across goal missed the far post just wide.
United remained in attack and Nhlapo came close to pulling a goal back in the dying minutes with a thumping volley from just outside the box that was incredibly kept out towards the top corner by Buthelezi.
The Rockets rotated the ball effectively in the tail end as they held on to their second straight win that sent them up to second on the log and also secured their first win over SuperSport.
