Menzi Masuku bagged a goal and an assist as Bloemfontein Celtic defeated TS Galaxy to end a five-game winless run in the DStv Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
John Maduka's men came into the clash winless in their last league encounters, but they were without the services of central defender Justice Chabalala through suspension.
Celtic got the perfect start after being awarded a penalty which Menzi Masuku won and confidently slotted away in the 13th minute.
It was one-way traffic in the early stages, but Marlon Huegh made a couple vita interventions to keep the score low while his side were on the back foot.
The visitors had to wait a while, but they bagged the equaliser on 38 minutes when Mxolisi Macuphu played in Mlungisi Mbunjana who sent fine strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
Celtic started the first half in similar fashion to the first, as they restored their lead minutes after the restart as Masuku turned provider to pick out Victor Letsoalo to fire home.
With Galaxy pushing for an equaliser, they were quite open to counter-attacks and they were nearly punished on 75 minutes but Maema was unable to hit the target with his low strike.
Owen da Gama's threw everything forward to an equaliser in the latter stages, but Celtic were able to hold out for maximum points that takes the side up to 10th spot.
