Sundowns Topple Chiefs, Pirates Bounce Back

Kaizer Chiefs 0-2 Mamelodi Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns ended Kaizer Chiefs' four-game winning run in the DStv Diski Challenge after a 2-0 win on Saturday afternoon at FNB Stadium.

Kutlwano Letlhaku gave Sundowns the lead before going to the half-time break and got the second goal in the second stanza as he also completed his brace.

The Brazilians climbed up to the top of the standings, two points ahead of Chiefs, who dropped down to fourth with a game in hand.

Chippa United 0-2 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates returned to winning ways after beating Chippa United 2-0 on Saturday morning at Isaac Wolfson Stadium.

Siphamandla Msezana got the breakthrough for Pirates shortly after the half-hour mark and Moses Mphekgoane secured the maximum points for Joseph Makhanya's charges with the second goal on stroke of half-time.

Golden Arrows 0-2 Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch won their third-game in a row after beating Golden Arrows 2-0 on Saturday morning at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

Tylon Smith sent Stellies ahead just before the half-time interval and Quwan Plaatjies got the second goal on the hour-mark.

The Cape Winelands side were edged to top spot by Mamelodi Sundowns on goal difference, as they settled for second position in the log.

Cape Town City 3-2 Richards Bay

Cape Town City ended their three-game losing streak after edging Richards Bay in a five-goal thriller at Malta Park Stadium.

Thobani Mngomezulu opened the scoring for Richards Bay after 20 minutes but City levelled matters ten minutes before the break and quickly went into the lead moments before the interval.

Sithembiso Makhaye equalised for the Natal Rich Boyz on the hour-mark but The Citizens found the wunner in the dying minutes.

Sekhukhune United 2-0 Polokwane City

Sekhukhune United won their third consecutive game after beating Polokwane City 2-0 on Sunday morning in the Limpopo derby at Isak Steyl Stadium.

Mtyali got the opener for Sekhukhune around the half-hour mark and Guliwe Olwethu got the second goal just moments later.
