Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque told journalists that returning to South Africa ahead of Tuesday's friendly up against Bafana Bafana has been an 'emotional moment'.
Spain picked up a first World Cup Winners Trophy in 2010 in South Africa and the Spanish coach said that being back in the country brought back many memories, but was adamant that his team was fully prepared for the friendly.
"We always prepare ourselves to the best of our ability, we prepare the same regardless of who we're playing against," Del Bosque said at a press conference on Monday.
"We won the cup, we also won the European Cup and now we're going to another World Cup. All the memories of winning the game here in South Africa come flooding back and it's a great, emotional moment to be here."
Del Bosque also mentioned a good luck charm he picked up during his last visit to South Africa and admitted that most of the Spanish team still had vuvuzelas at their homes.
"I have a bangle that I wear, I have worn it since the start of the 2010 World Cup, it is for good luck. It has now worn a little bit and lost some colour but I wear it anyway," he added.
"Of course I remember the vuvuzelas! We all have them in our houses..."
