The Siya crew can reveal that tempers flared in the Moroka Swallows change room as the struggling Soweto side battled to survive relegation.
Swallows Focused on PSL survival not Players awards
According to reliable Siya sources close to the Dobsonville-based club, head coach Craig Rosslee and veteran goalkeeper Greg Etafia did not see eye-to-eye following the club's loss to Ajax Cape Town, which led to the Nigerian shot-stopper being dropped in the subsequent game.
Sources explained to the crew that the former AmaZulu mentor was not pleased with the Nigerian's performance against the Urban Warriors where the Dube Birds surrendered a one goal lead to eventually lose the encounter 2-1.
"It was a case of the coach being unhappy with all the players for conceding two goals after the players had taken the lead," revealed a Siya source."
The Dube Birds will commence their play-off campaign for PSL survival against Black Leopards on Wednesday, 20 May.
The crew will monitor if 24-year-old Sage Stephens will continue in the goal-sticks as he did in the final match of the league or if Etafia will be re-called into the starting 11.
