Cape Town All Stars Make New Signings

Newly-promoted National First Division outfit, Cape Town All Stars, have further enhanced their team in preparation for the season ahead by signing another six players, including the well-travelled midfielder, Bridget Motha, two Bidvest Wits youngsters and a pair of former Vasco da Gama players. Motha, previously on the books of Durban Stars, AmaTuks, FC Cape Town and Milano United, has been joined by the Clever Boys' centre back, Chaz Williams and holding midfielder, Keegan Thompson. In addition, well-known figures in Parow, Kyle Peters (goalkeeper) and Brandon Adams (left wing or left back) have been snapped up as well as Witbank Spurs' right back, Bafana Maphanga. However, it looks highly unlikely that Kaizer Chiefs' Zimbabwean junior international, Lincoln Zvasiya, will be joining the club. "I don't think we'll sign him, he doesn't even look the part," All Stars' coach, Dylan Deane, told Soccer Laduma. "We had such a lot of guys on trial but some weren't that good enough." This is the second occasion that the Chiefs defender has been overlooked, a few weeks back Royal Eagles head coach, Duncan Lechesa, also opted against signing him.
