Some footballers come into money and waste it, but Bongani Zungu used his wages from Mamelodi Sundowns to build his mother a house after making a promise to his father.

Zungu will jet out to Portugal at the end of this month to begin a new life with Vitoria de Guimaraes, after signing a pre-contract a few months ago, and speaking to Soccer Laduma recently he discussed his upcoming move.
On top of that, the talented 23-year-old explained why he used some of the money he has made to build his mother a home in Nigel where he grew up.
Speaking to Soccer Laduma the Bafana international said, "You know, my dad passed away in 2013, and I remember telling them that, one day, I'd build him a house. I come from a very poor background and signing for Sundowns gave me the opportunity to do what I'd always wanted to do for my mom and him.
"It gave me the chance to make my family happy, because they were the ones who hustled for me to go to school, to have shoes. For me to be able to say thank you I had to do something. So I got my mom a nice house and she loves it. She's very proud of me."
