Bloemfontein Celtic could be set to fail in their bid to keep Mamelodi Sundowns striker Fiston Abdul Razak for an extended period. Read: Celtic Defender Facing Exit? The Burundi international spent the 2015/16 season on loan at Phunya Sele Sele from the Chloorkop outfit after he failed to make the cut in Pitso Mosimane's match-day squads. Siya sources have now confirmed that after contributing with four goals in 14 outings in all competitions for Serame Letsoaka's charges, Siwelele were looking to keep the player for the 2016/17 campaign, on loan or a permanent deal. However, as it stands the Bujumbura-born forward will head back to Tshwane for the new campaign. Downs are said to be willing to let Razak stay at Celtic if they are successful in their bid to land Bafana Bafana winger, Thapelo Morena, whom they have already tabled an offer for. While Celtic have not accepted the current offer and are doing everything in their power to hold onto the 22-year-old, Downs are expected to use Razak as a bargaining tool in their negotiations, though it is thought that they are going to face stiff competition from Kaizer Chiefs - who are also chasing the player's signature.
