The Buccaneers fell 18 points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend after a surprise 2-0 loss to Marumo Gallants.
Coach Jose Riveiro will back in the dugout this evening after watching the game against Gallants from the stands due to a suspension.
Riveiro will also make a change in the goalkeeper department as Sipho Chaine will be suspended for this evening's encounter.
Pirates will come up against a Chippa side also aiming to get back on the winning trail after a goalless draw against Richards Bay over the weekend.
The draw left the Chilli Boys in ninth position and they sit nine points behind the top eight.
