A word reaching the Siya crew is that former Mamelodi Sundowns forward, Bennett Masinga, will be buried on Thursday.
The Siya crew broke the news last week of his passing. However, his cousin, Philemon 'Chippa' Masinga has confirmed to the Siya crew that indeed 'Bennito', as the striker was known in football circles, passed on after a short illness.

"My cousin will be buried on Thursday in Klerksdorp. We will hold a memorial service tomorrow at Khuma Community hall in Stilfontein at 15h30 for 16h00 because some people will be at work. The funeral service will be held at New Anglican Church in Khuma township on Thursday morning," said Masinga.
Bennito, played for the Chloorkop-based outfit in the 90's as well as Umtata Bush Bucks, Manning Rangers and Cape Town Santos.
He once played for Bafana Bafana together with his cousin, Chippa Masinga where they both scored in the 2-2 draw against Cameroon in 1992, following South Africa's return to the international soccer scene.
Bennito was 48-years old at the time of his passing.
The Soccer-Laduma family wishes to convey condolences to the Masinga family, friends and Sundowns.
