The striker is one of the experienced players that will be expected to help the KZN side, as they will be attempting to return to the Premier Soccer League next season.
Dlamini watched in disbelief as the only professional club he has been with throughout his career was relegated to the NFD, following their 2-1 loss to Maritzburg United last weekend.
Dlamini's agent, Jazzman Mahlakgane, confirmed to the Siya crew that the 30-year-old has reached an agreement with the Durban-based club to go down to the second tier of South African football.
"Ayanda is staying with the club. That's definite. The coach wants him. The player himself expressed the interest in staying.
"For me that was profound of him to say that he wants to stay with the club and go down with them. The club has got plans for Ayanda beyond football," said Mahlakgane.
Robyn Johannes is another senior player that has expressed interest in staying with AmaZulu. The club has a one-year option on the defender's contract that is set to expire at the end of next month.
