Ajax Cape Town's Stanley Menzo: I Am Worried But I Am Fighting

Ajax Cape Town head coach, Stanley Menzo, is determined to keep fighting despite the team's return to the bottom of the log.

Although Ajax improved their form after the appointment of Menzo at the helm in October last year, the Cape Town-based side has since slipped to 13th placed on the Absa Premiership league standings and are four points away from the relegation zone.

Speaking after Ajax's 2-1 defeat against Maritzburg United on Saturday, April 01, the Dutch head coach has admitted that he is worried about the position the team is in at the moment but will keep on fighting.

"You [the media] don't have to get worried, but I've got to get worried and as the coach, I've to get worried and yes we are concerned. Menzo said on Ajax's official website after Saturday's encounter.

"If you look at this game I think we were the better team, we had the better chances only we had to score the goals and don't concede chances and goals like that.

"What do you mean they [players] are still on my side? You saw the whole game so didn't they respond, yes or no? I think they did respond. For me, they didn't play badly but they didn't play well either.

"I'm worried yes but I'm fighting and I'm a fighter and I'll keep on fighting," he added.
