The agent of Mamelodi Sundowns development product Thomas Sambo has backed the defender to get the nod for the upcoming Olympics 2021 squad.
The 22-year-old right back who came through the ranks at Masandawana has been campaigning in the GladAfrica Championship with Free State Stars.
Sambo has been a regular for coach Allan Freese and to date has played In all of 10th-placed Stars' games this season.
His bright performances have not gone unnoticed and according to Sambo's agent Godfrey Mushanganyisi, a number of unnamed top flight clubs have been tracking the player's progress.
According to Mushanganyisi, it is only a matter of time before Sambo is snapped up in the PSL, while he has also backed him to crack the nod for the upcoming Olympic selection.
"This boy played for the national under 20 and under 23 teams. He comes from Mamelodi Sundowns, but he is currently with Free State Stars," the agent told the Siya crew.
"The boy has done very well, and I think he is ready for the bigger stage. He is only 22 and his goal is to travel to Tokyo for the Olympics. I think that he stands a good chance of being selected for the 2021 Olympic side," he added.
