Aces Sign Mopedi

Mpumalanga Black Aces have added Tumelo Mopedi to their squad as the ambitious Mpumalanga-based side continue with their recruitment spree.

Mopedi, who is a product of the Orlando Pirates development academy, becomes the latest player to join AmaZayoni, after the club announced the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns defender Method Mwanjali and Malawian defefender Lucky Malata.

"The boy is young and talented and the club will benefit a lot from him in the future. He is definitely one for the future. We are mixing up the squad with youth and experienced and I think he will blend well with the squad that we have assembled so far," said a source close to the club.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who has spent time with PSV Eindhoven and Ajax Amsterdam in the Netherlands, spent a while being assessed by the Ajax Cape Town technical team at the end of last season, although the Urban Warriors decided against signing him.

He spent last season at National First Division side, Vasco da Gama.
