Bafana Bafana head coach, Shakes Mashaba, has named his final 23-man squad for the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea after a provisional camp.
Mashaba named 34 players earlier this month that he would assess over a mini camp that took place in the last few days, explaining that he would then trim them down to his final 23.
Now, after undergoing one final training session at AW Muller Stadium this morning, Mashaba has come to his final conclusion on who will represent South Africa in AFCON 2015:
The full squad is:
Goalkeepers: Darren Keet, Jackson Mabokgwane, Brillliant Khuzwayo.
Defenders: Siyabonga Nhlapho, Patrick Phungwayo, Anele Ngcongca, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Erick Mathoho, Rivaldo Coetzee, Thabo Matlaba.
Midfielders: Themba Zwane, Andile Jali, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Bongani Zungu, Thamsanqa Sangweni, Dean Furman, Thuso Phala, Mandla Masango, Oupa Manyisa.
Strikers: Bernard Parker, Tokelo Rantie, Bongani Ndulula, Sibusiso Vilakazi.
Mashaba’s men will play Zambia in a friendly at Orlando Stadium on Sunday before jetting out to Gabon to begin their final preparations for the tournament ahead of it’s start on January 17.
