Former Kaizer Chiefs coach, Stuart Baxter, has indicated that he does not think the youth development at the Amakhosi is on the right track.

Baxter decided to part ways with the Amakhosi at the end of last season, following a successful three-year spell in charge which saw his win the league and cup double twice.
The Englishman sighted differences in perspectives between himself and the club as the reason he eventually decided to part ways.
Chiefs have an ageing squad and Baxter was keen on improving the youth system at Naturena, however he has indicated that he thinks the plan is still not on the right track.
“I’m sure Kaizer and Bobby's attitude was that they wanted to replace those players with guys from the academy.”
“However, because of different things, which I don’t want to go into at the moment, I think that plan is not on track, not to the extent that they’d like anyway.”
“It was disappointing to me that we didn’t get further in that respect, but that’s football sometimes,” Baxter told Soccer Laduma.
Baxter has now taken some time off from football to spend with his family after his shock exit from Genclerbirligi barely two months into the job.
