Kaizer Chiefs coach, Steve Komphela, has refused to discuss any potential transfer deals that may happen at the club before the transfer window closes at 5pm today.
The 48-year-old spoke to the Siya crew with just hours left to go until the January transfer window slams shut. Komphela explained that the club’s policy is to conduct all negotiations behind closed doors.
“Talking about signings, as a team we have a policy and that is to deal our business in private and make the announcement in public,” he said.
“That's all I can say concerning the signing of players and the window period.”
Chiefs' strikers have accumulated only six goals between them and Komphela refused to discuss their form, saying that they need to be supported through their period of poor form.
"You know I don't want to say anything bad about my strikers who are with me right now,” he said when quizzed on his off-form strike force.
“They are the ones doing the job and they need all the support we need.”
Chiefs are currently fourth in the PSL standings, eight points behind league leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns.
