Orlando Pirates have confirmed that tickets for the weekend’s game against Kaizer Chiefs are selling fast.
The Buccaneers will be hosting Chiefs at FNB Stadium in the much-anticipated Soweto Derby on Saturday afternoon.
According to the club, almost half of the 94,736 capacity 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium tickets have already been sold.
“Over 45 000 tickets sold ahead of the
#SowetoDerby at the @FNBStadium on Saturday. Tickets available at @Computicket & @Shoprite_SA outlets,” Pirates confirmed on the club’s official Twitter account.
In the first leg tie between the two giants of South African football in October, it was estimated that about 90 000 football fans were at FNB Stadium for the game.
