Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender, Rashid Sumaila, has officially signed for Al Qadsia in Kuwait after an agreement with Masandawana was reached regarding his departure.
The 23-year-old defender signed a five-year contract with Sundowns back in 2013 and showed promise in his early time at Chloorkop, however soon fell down the pecking order under Pitso Mosimane and was sent on loan to Asante Kotoko.
Not long into his loan to Kotoko, Sundowns recalled the Ghanaian defender to loan him to Qadsia, where he has gone from strength to strength and earned himself a long-term contract.
Sumaila himself confirmed his move on his Instagram account this morning, and it is being reported that the centre back has put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Kuwaiti outfit.
Meanwhile, Sundowns are still searching for a replacement for departed former captain, Alje Schut, who returned to Holland at the end of his contract in July.
