Gyimah vs Ertugral Supporters Choose Their Corner

Gyimah vs Ertugral Supporters Choose Their Corner

Football is a bizarre sport, often involving strange incidents. One such incident occurred on Wednesday at Cape Town International Airport, when Orlando Pirates were departing the Mother City. Supporters managed to capture an altercation between coach Muhsin Ertugral and Edwin Gyimah on camera. Now the supporters debate the matter.

The details of the incident have not been released or confirmed by Pirates, but some supporters have suggested that Muhsin doesn't have a good track record of dealing with certain players.

"Even if it's unclear what happened, we can all agree that Muhsin has this problem of dealing with players. We can remember him and Khenyeza, him and Abia Nale, so I can say this is not what we want at Pirates. He is a good coach and a straightforward person but we can't allow such behaviour, which will reflect in the team's performance. The only reason I had doubts on Muhsin is his temper that he can't contain. This is the guy who destroyed Chips midfield after Ted Dumitru made Chiefs to have the best midfield in the country by then." – Lebstikano

Other supporters have suggested it is not the coach's job to be polite to the players.

"What politeness? Politeness cost Tinkler a job at Pirates." – Sea_Robber1

Most, however, seem to have taken Ertugral's side, saying that, no matter what, Gyimah should be more professional or use the correct channels to air his grievances, or at least do it in private and not at the airport.

"Gyimah will lose the battle because it's the team that comes first. Khoza will release Gyimah in the January window. Muhsin will win, the same way he did with Khenyeza. I also believe that Gyimah was not Ertugral's favourite at Black Aces, that is why he left." – Rawuwalekhosi

"Coach, bench the boy or put him on the stand. That was unacceptable. Even if the coach was wrong, the boy should've followed the right channels." – magawula247

"Mhlongo was put aside for several games and like a true professional never misbehaved. Gyimah must be expelled from the team for raising his hand against his boss, no two ways about it. Discipline is non-negotiable." – mgwenya 62

Who, in your opinion, is at fault in this incident?
