Mngqibisa: We’ll Fight

Polokwane City defender, Vukile Mngqibisa, says Kaizer Chiefs will have to dig deep if they want the three points tonight.

Rise and Shine host Amakhosi tonight and the game is seen as six pointer hence the Naturena-based club is eyeing to get back to the top of the table, whilst City is aiming to escape the relegation axe.

The Katlehong-born defender revealed that the underdog tag will suit them well coming to the game.

“We’re labelled as underdogs and we’re not under pressure at all, we know they want to get back to the top of the table. Their mission is to catch Mamelodi Sundowns but they must not expect us to give them easily because we also want the points. It’s going to be a fight and we must ensure we don’t commit errors. We’ll go there and work hard because we’re doing very well at home , they can’t come here and spoil our good record.

“We’re aware Chiefs are a big club with good players but we also want to beat them and get the points. We now have four games and remaining and we need to collect points. Yes, we’ll expect them to throw everything at us because they play well and have won twice against us but we’ll compete. We just have to ensure we take the chances we create and defend well. I believe with that, we can get the three points,” added Jovis.

Rise and Shine are paced at position 14 with 24 points after 26 games, and a win tonight will ease their relegation worries.
