Platinum Stars defender, Rofhiwa Tshikovhi, has confirmed that Polokwane City have settled his outstanding salary for the month of June.
The crew reported yesterday that the player had not received his June salary from the club, and the crew understands that it let to the player taking the matter to the PSL.
Tshikovhi, 25, joined Rise and Shine on loan from Dikwena last season, but has since returned to his mother club in Rustenburg for pre-season training.
Speaking to the crew, Tshikovhi confirmed that he was paid his salary, and that the matter had been resolved.
“I am happy because I’ve been paid my salary. I can now focus on my football at Platinum Stars and I have no problem with City. We spoke, so there’s no bad blood between us. I can now finally get ready for the 2014/15 season,” said Tshikovhi.
The player’s agent, Ratshibvumo Mulovhedzi of Rush Hour Sports Management, also confirmed the news.
“I want to thank the management of the club for keeping their promise. They have paid the player and my gratitude goes to the football manager, Ralli, who acted quickly even though the chairman is not in the country,” said Mulovhedzi.
However, the crew made strides to source a comment from the Polokwane-based outfit’s football manager, Ralli Ramabodu, who was unfortunately unavailable for comment and in a meeting.
