The Siya crew can confirm that Bidvest Wits midfielder, Denver Mukamba, has signed with University of Pretoria.
As previously predicted by the crew, Mukamba was training with the Tshwane-based side and was part of the squad that played in the Gauteng Cup last weekend.
Mukamba made six appearances for the Clever Boys last season, and a move to Tuks could revive his career with regular game-time.
Sources close to the Tshwane club yesterday revealed that the player was close to signing the deal, and the crew can now confirm that this has indeed been sealed.
Speaking to the crew, the Braamfontein-based club’s CEO, Jose Ferreira, confirmed that Mukamba was at Tuks.
“Yes, Denver is there, and has signed. That’s it. We’ll announce more details,” said Ferreira.
The Zimbabwean-born forward joined Wits from Zimbabwean club Dynamos in 2013 and was the 2012 Soccer Star of the Year in Zimbabwe.
