Bidvest Wits have moved swiftly to extend Moeneeb Josephs' time at the club following his fine form for the Clever Boys over the last two seasons.

Despite turning 36 next month, Wits offered Josephs a new one-year contract that will see him until the end of 2016/17, with an option to add two-more years to that if all goes well.

The record-breaking former Orlando Pirates ‘keeper – who has made 451 starts during his 19-year PSL career – has more clean sheets in the Absa Premiership this season (14) than any other shot-stopper, and has been an integral part of the Clever Boys’ title charge.

Now, with just four games left to play, Josephs will be eager to keep up his impressive form between the sticks as he seeks his third Absa Premiership title.

Josephs has now five clean sheets in a row in the league, and hasn’t conceded a goal in 750 minutes of domestic football in all competitions.
