The Frenchman is still keen on filling the gap left by Cristiano Ronaldo's exit from Real in 2018, but some reports suggest that Mbappe could decide to stay at Paris Saint-Germain – at least in the short term.
As a consequence, Zidane and Real are reportedly shifting their focus to Sadio Mane, who could cost the club a whopping €150 million (R3 billion).
According to Le10sport, Los Blancos are preparing a huge bid for the 2019 African Player of the Year in the coming window and will only move for Mbappe either in 2021 or in 2022 when his current deal expires.

The Spanish giants reportedly first made contact with Mane in July 2019 to see if the Senegalese winger would be keen to move to the Santiago Bernabeu, and have kept in touch since.
It is believed that Real could tempt the forward to move away from Anfield after he clashed with teammate Mohamed Salah earlier this season.
In addition, according to France Football, Mane was unhappy that his manager Jurgen Klopp pushed for Virgil van Dijk ahead of him for the 2019 Ballon d'Or award.
