Just one month after joining the Egyptians in a shock move from Mamelodi Sundowns, Mosimane managed to lead Al Ahly to the CAF Champions League final, thanks to an aggregate 5-1 semi-final over Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca.
Mosimane also clinched the league title, although his predecessor René Weiler left the club with the league title already secured with four matches to play, as well as a place in the lucrative Champions League semi-final.
For his efforts, Swiss coach Weiller, will pocket $450 000 (±R7 million) as a bonus for securing the domestic title.
The crew understands that Mosimane is set to receive that same amount $450 000 (±R7 million) if he manages to replicate a feat he achieved in 2016 with Mamelodi Sundowns and lead the Egyptians to an unprecedented ninth continental title.
