Kaizer Chiefs have made their intentions clear by offering MultiChoice Diski Challenge top goal-scorer, Emmanuel ‘Adebayor’ Letlotlo a professional contract.
Following a number of breathtaking performances in the PSL’s reserve league, the 20-year-old striker looks seemingly ready to take the next step in his professional career. Letlotlo also recently on scored a goal as he turned out for the club’s first team in a friendly against Highlands Park.
Last month, in issue 963, the Siya crew reported that several clubs in the PSL were monitoring the youngster's situation as he had not put pen to paper on a professional deal with the Soweto giants.
Adebayor finished the MultiChoice Diski Challenge season as the top goalscorer with nine goals in Chiefs' 15 fixtures and, in the process, caught the eye of Mpumalanga Black Aces, SuperSport United, Ajax Cape Town, Chippa United and Bloemfontein Celtic.
However, it now seems as though he could be staying on with the club and challenging for a spot in Steve Komphela’s side.
In this week’s edition of Soccer Laduma, Adebayor informs the crew that he has met with Chiefs’ Football Manager, Bobby Motaung, and that the Chiefs official made it clear that they have intentions on signing him.
