Ebrahim Seedat has put pen to paper on a deal with Cape Town City FC, according to Siya sources. The player has been on trial with the Mother City outfit and has impressed coach Eric Tinkler enough to be offered a PSL contract.
The left back spent the 2015/16 season on Milano United's books in the NFD and saw his contract come to an end last month. He has now signed as a free agent, though the club is yet to confirm it.
The Cape Town-born player made his PSL debut with Bidvest Wits as a 19-year-old, after spending the previous season with European club Lokeren in Belgium. He made eight starts in 11 appearances for The Students and then jetted off to Sweden for a second spell in Europe where he turned out for Degerfors IF.
The midfielder returned to Mzansi in the 2015/16 season, and spent the season at Milano, and was closely monitored by several PSL clubs.
The 23-year-old will now be able to prove himself in Mzansi’s first tier, in what will be the club’s inaugural PSL season.
