Kaizer Chiefs' season went from bad to worse when Golden Arrows became the third club to complete a double over them this season, with Mamelodi Sundowns still capable of upsetting the Soweto giants for a second time.
Arrows came from behind on Freedom Day to beat the struggling Naturena-based side 2-1 in KZN. In March, Abafana Bes'thende beat Chiefs 1-0 at FNB Stadium and Wednesday afternoon's victory ensured that they collected six points.
Just a few days before the clash against Arrows. Stellenbosch also completed a double over the Soweto giants. Stellies snatched a 1-0 victory, after beating the four-time PSL champions by the same scoreline during the first half of the season.
The other club to complete a double is Royal AM, who hammered Chiefs 4-1 in the first half of the season at FNB Stadium. The second round match ended with a narrow 1-0 victory in favour of John Maduka's men at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.
Sundowns beat Chiefs 2-0 in the first half of the season and the two clubs are set to meet for their second round encounter in May. They could end up being the fourth team this season to complete a double over Amakhosi.
