Cristiano Ronaldo has mocked Xavi Hernandez after the former FC Barcelona captain insisted Lionel Messi is a better player than the Portuguese.
Xavi recently suggested that Ronaldo is the best player of his time, but unfortunately plays at the same time as Messi, the best player in history.
The Real superstar did not seem too impressed with his former rival's comments, and has now hit back at the 36-year-old.
"I'm the most searched player on the internet," Ronaldo told Marca.
"Anyone who wants free publicity or media attention talks about me.
"I couldn't care less about what Xavi says about me. He plays in Qatar or I don't even know where. He's won every collective trophy, including a World Cup and the European Championship, but he's never won a Ballon D'Or.
"It's a privilege for me to have won the Ballon d'Or three times, with Messi contending for the award."
Ronaldo has won the Ballon d'Or three times, while Xavi finished in third spot on the podium on three occasions.
However, the Spaniard lifted 25 trophies during his time at the Camp Nou, while Ronaldo's silverware count stands on 17 (nine with Manchester United and eight with Real).
In addition, the Spaniard won two European Championship titles and one World Cup, while Ronaldo lifted just one Euro.
