A swap deal could be on the cards for Orlando Pirates and another PSL team as the Soweto giants are expected to make decisions for their defence for next season.
Following a loan stint with Chippa United during the second half of the season, defender Phetso Maphanga could secure a permanent move away from Pirates, according to sources close to the two clubs.

Maphanga was originally from Chippa when he was signed by Pirates last year. Having struggled for game-time at the Buccaneers during the first half of the 2018/19 season, it is believed that the left-back could be offered to the Chilli Boys on a permanent deal, though he also did not get enough regular game time at the Eastern Cape Club.
"Phetso Maphanga is likely to stay with Chippa on a permanent deal as Tebogo Tlolane is set to move to Pirates. It's one of the deals expected to take place," said the source.

Another player linked with a move to Chippa, albeit on loan, is Meshack Maphangule. However, the former Black Leopards midfielder has told the Siya crew that he will be reporting at Bucs for pre-season training, after the off-season break.
