Having only been formed in 1997, Chicken Inn are a relatively young side in the Zimbabwean Premier Soccer League, and their league title in 2015 was the first in their history following promotion to the top-flight in 2011.
Head coach, Joey Antipas, joined the club in 2013, and has now successfully guided them into the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history after a league campaign that saw them lose just five out of 30 matches.
In terms of players to look out for, Pitso Mosimane will no doubt be keeping an eye on forwards, Edmore Chirambadare and Mitchell Katsvairo, who bagged 19 league goals between them in the 2015 season.
Chicken Inn have lost just four of their last 28 league games and are currently on a six-game winning streak in the league, however they did lose in the Zimababwean cup final and their recent pre-season campaign has not gone well as they lost every game in a friendly tournament last weekend.
Sundowns will travel to Zimbabwe later this week ahead of Saturday’s first leg tie where Mosimane will hope to see his side put in a good away showing ahead of the second leg in Gauteng.
