The Bafana Bafana squad set to take on Angola in the second leg of their CHAN qualifier this coming Saturday are back in full training.
South Africa travel to Angola to take on the hosts at Luanda’s National Stadium with proceedings scheduled to get underway at 15h00 on Saturday.
All players have reported for training, except for SuperSport United’s Bradley Grobler and Chippa United’s Thamsanqa Sangweni who were recalled by their clubs.
The CHAN National team squad will train twice daily at Marks Park before departing for Angola on Thursday afternoon.
They face the daunting prospect of overturning a two-goal deficit away from home after losing the first leg 2-0 at Rand Stadium on Saturday, and assistant coach, Thabo Senong, is under no illusions of the challenge his side are in for.
“Of course, we have left ourselves with a mountain to climb in the second leg. Overturning a 2-0 deficit away from home won’t be easy but we are not going to give in just like that. We are going to fight and fight hard,” Senong said in an official SAFA press release.
