Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Willard Katsande suffered an injury last week Sunday in their Nedbank Cup last 32 win against Golden Arrows.

The 32-year old midfielder played a vital role in the game as he contributed to two of the three goals scored by Amakhosi. The Zimbabwean was assessed and it was then confirmed that he fractured a bone in his face and will undergo surgery. Amakhosi could be without Katsande when they play their crucial league game against Cape Town City on Saturday.

Supporters have since reacted to the news of Katsande's pending surgery. With some suggesting that he could probably wear a facial mask, reminiscing back to the Itumeleng Khune's game against Senegal. The goalkeeper had picked an injury against Chippa United just five days before Bafana Bafana was to play their FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Senegal. Mzansi's number one keeper took to the field with a masked faced and supporters wasted no time in giving Itu a nickname King "Zorro", which trended on social media platforms for a while.
