Chelsea FC has the fascinatingly absurd honour of being relegated more times than they have won the league title. They have been in the Premier league since its inception in 1992, but have been relegated six times (in 1909, 1923, 1961, 1974, 1978, and1987), and have won it five times (in 1954, 2004, 2005, 2009, and 2014).
