Bafana Bafana will be taking on Burkina Faso tomorrow in a crucial World Cup qualifier. It's a must-win game for us because only the group winner goes to the World Cup. Supporters club asked NAFSA co-ordinator Saddam Maake of his views and his all-time best Bafana Bafana XI.
"We have a good team and we have a good technical team that is capable of winning us the game. I have hope that we will qualify," he said.
"As for my best Bafana Bafana XI, well, it's got to be the XI that took to the field on 3 February 1996, against Tunisia in the Afcon final. That is no doubt the best Bafana Bafana team ever.
"Andre Arendse, the late Sizwe Motaung, Lucas Radebe, Neil Tovey, Eric Tinkler, Linda Buthelezi, Doctor Khumalo, the late Shoes Moshoeu, Shaun Bartlett and Philemon Masinga.
"We had the best on the bench as well: Mark Williams, David Nyathi, Helman Mkhalele, Edward Motale, John Tlale and Roger De Sa.
"That was the best Bafana Bafana team ever."
